Honoring Dr. Un Yong Kim
Sadly, Dr. Un Yong Kim passed 25 days before he was able to witness this great event. Dr. Kim’s passing may have led to the end of his life, but it also leads to the beginning of his legacy. He was an icon, a legend, and undoubtedly the one who put Taekwondo in the Olympics.
President Lee had been preparing this trip for many months, and with Dr. Kim's passing, President Lee knows that this must still go on; as such, President Lee has made his commitment, and in doing so, he is honoring Dr. Kim and his life's work. President Lee is working tirelessly to ensure that the respect Dr. Kim deserves is not gone unnoticed.
