KUKKIWON MASTER INSTRUCTOR LICENSE COURSE – USA

BACKGROUND: As many of you are aware, there is a movement to incorporate or
to include Taekwondo as a part of a Sports Licensing Commission
in many states. That may be a Boxing Commission, or some other
similar organization. The intent is to have Taekwondo and other
martial arts come under their control for buying licenses to conduct
events, to certify officials, to certify referees, etc.
By participating in, and successfully completing the Kukkiwon
Master Instructor Licensing Course, you will already be a part of
an organized International Licensing Organization- the Kukkiwon.
That should preclude efforts to be taken over by an organization
such as a state or local boxing commission, or some other similar
organization that might require getting a license with them.
There are current efforts in several states now to require a license
(usually form a state sports commission) in order to hold an event
that involves contact. Some are even trying to require this same
license in order to conduct classes that have physical contact
between individuals (like in Taekwondo Dojangs). Participating in
this seminar and successfully becoming licensed by Kukkiwon will
prevent this from happening to you.

CURRICULUM: The Kukkiwon Master Instructor License Course will include the
following curriculum topics:
• History of Taekwondo
• Leadership/Pride as a Taekwondo Leader
• Professional Running of a Dojang
• Referee Rules
• How to Judge Promotion Testing
• How to be a Good Leader
• Conducting Taekwondo Demonstrations
• Counseling
• Taekwondo Terminology
• Basic Movements
• Standardized Poomsae (Taeguk and Kukkiwon Black Belt
Poomsae)

The Course will include Physical Activity along with Classroom
lectures. The Course will conclude with a Written Test that must
be passed in order to become certified.
